Day 01 Arrival at Phuentsholing
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, our driver will receive you for a scenic drive to Jaigaon, the border town leading to Phuentsholing – the gateway to Bhutan. Phuentsholing, at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, blends Bhutanese calm with Indian vibrancy, offering a unique mix of cultures and commerce.
On arrival, our Bhutanese guide will assist with immigration formalities. Afterward, check in to your hotel and relax.
If time permits, enjoy a stroll through Phuentsholing’s vibrant streets, visit the serene Zangtopelri Monastery, and relax at the nearby park.
Health Tips: Stay hydrated, adjust gradually to higher altitudes, and avoid heavy meals before traveling.

Day 02 Phuentsholing to Thimphu
After breakfast, complete your Bhutan entry permit with our team’s help, then gear up for a thrilling ride to Thimphu— Bhutan’s tranquil capital tucked in the Himalayas.
En route, take a scenic stop at Milarepa Lhakhang—a sacred temple that adds a touch of mystique with tales of the legendary yogi’s spiritual journey.
Ride through misty hills and pine forests, pause at Gedu for stunning views, enjoy a tea break near Chukha, and witness the magical confluence at Chuzom beneath fluttering prayer flags.
Arrive in Thimphu, visit the Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s mythical national animal, then enjoy stunning views of the iconic Trashichhoedzong fortress-monastery.
In the evening, relax in Thimphu’s lively city center or explore the Crafts Bazaar for unique, handmade treasures showcasing Bhutan’s rich heritage.
Road Safety & Conditions: The road from Phuentsholing to Thimphu is narrow, with steep inclines and sharp curves. Follow speed limits for safety.

Day 03 Thimphu – Punakha & Wangdue
After breakfast, visit the majestic 51.5-meter Buddha Dordenma at Kuensel Phodrang, overlooking Thimphu Valley. Then, immerse in Bhutanese culture at Simply Bhutan, a vibrant living museum of tradition and smiles.
Ride towards Punakha, crossing the stunning Dochu La Pass (3,088 m). Stop to admire panoramic Himalayan views, 108 chortens, and prayer flags. On clear days, snow-capped peaks like Gangkar Puensum dominate the skyline.
Descend through lush valleys and rhododendron forests to reach Punakha, Bhutan’s ancient capital. Check in, relax, and refresh.
In the afternoon, explore the stunning Punakha Dzong, the “Palace of Great Bliss,” perched at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, with its iconic white walls and golden spires.
End the day with a peaceful stroll through Sopsokha village to visit Chimi Lhakhang, the famous Fertility Temple, dedicated to Bhutan’s “Divine Madman,” Lama Drukpa Kunley.

Day 04 Day Excursion to Phobjikha Valley
After breakfast, ride through winding mountain roads to the serene Phobjikha Valley, known as the “Switzerland of Bhutan,” home to the rare Black-Necked Cranes, a symbol of grace and longevity.
Arrive and visit the majestic Gangtey Monastery, a 17th-century spiritual hub perched on a ridge with stunning valley views.
Next, visit the Crane Information Centre to discover conservation efforts for the graceful migratory birds and their spiritual importance to the Bhutanese.
After a delicious local lunch, enjoy a peaceful hike through serene forest trails and meadows, ideal for birdwatching and immersing in Bhutan’s untouched wilderness.
By late afternoon, return to Punakha, filled with nature’s beauty and spiritual tranquility.
Road Safety & Conditions: Roads to Phobjikha are narrow and winding, with limited visibility through forested areas. Drive cautiously.

Day 05 Punakha to Paro
After breakfast, drive back to Paro via the scenic Thimphu highway. Stop at the charming Tachog Lhakhang, founded by the legendary Thangtong Gyalpo, and admire the iconic iron chain bridge, a tribute to his engineering genius.
Enter Paro Valley and visit the Ta Dzong, Bhutan’s National Museum, once a watchtower, now showcasing art, artifacts, and ancient weaponry that bring the kingdom’s history to life.
Take a short trail walk downhill to the majestic Rinpung Dzong, the “Fortress of a Heap of Jewels,” adorned with vibrant murals of Buddhist tales, spiritual symbols, and cosmic mandalas.
Check into your hotel by evening and later explore Paro town on foot, strolling through quaint cafés, handicraft shops, and enjoying its peaceful vibe.

Day 06 Hike to Tiger’s Nest
After an early breakfast, hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched 900 meters above the valley. A sacred site where Guru Rinpoche meditated, it’s Bhutan’s spiritual jewel and a must-visit pilgrimage.
The 5-hour trek takes you through pine forests, prayer flags, and stunning viewpoints, blending nature, legend, and devotion.
In the evening, unwind with a traditional hot stone bath, a Bhutanese healing ritual, while sipping locally brewed ara (rice wine) at a welcoming farmhouse.
Road Safety & Conditions: Roads to Tiger’s Nest are good; trails can be uneven, so wear proper hiking shoes.

Day 07 Paro – Chele La Pass – Phuentsholing

Return to Paro and head to Phuentsholing, with a stop at the 15th-century Tschogang Lhakhang, a peaceful temple dedicated to the mythical horse deity Balaha.
Continue on to view the Chhukha Hydropower Project, Bhutan’s vital clean energy source, nestled at the confluence of the Paachhu and Wangchhu rivers. Arrive in Phuentsholing by evening.
Road Safety & Conditions: Chele La Pass has high altitude and winding roads; drive slowly, especially in winter due to snow and ice.
